  • porcelain vine

I know it by the name "variegated porcelain vine" but its botanical name is "Ampelopsis brevipedunculata". I have it growing on the frame of my compost bin to obscure the decidedly unattractive pile of compost. Some people say that porcelain vine is very invasive, but I think that the variegated variety is supposed to be somewhat less so. So far mine has stayed in its place.

I saw my doctor today -- actually, a new doctor. I've been meaning to get a doctor closer to where I live, since I'm not particularly fond of the doctor I have been seeing the last few years -- so this seemed like a good time to do it. I have a female doctor this time -- young, but seems very knowledgable and personable, too. Anyway, she has determined that since my Vertigo is positional, that it is NOT Meniere's disease, but something less serious. This is good news. She refilled my Antivert, and said that if I am still getting dizzy in two weeks, that I should call and she will recommend a ENT specialist. Meanwhile I am having to take about 2 Antivert pills a day to keep the dizzies at bay. It tends to make me a little drowsy, which I don't like, so I hope I don't have to continue taking it forever.

  • Great news

  • For what it's worth, I had a bout of vertigo a couple of years ago, lasted a few weeks and went away never (yet) to return. Hope yours does the same...

  • I am glad you found a doc that you like. It makes a lot of difference.
I regularly see a nurse practitioner and she is my age, so she understands me and I feel like she listens. I still have a male dentist... but I am working on that.

I am pleased that the Antivert is helping.
I am still praying for you. This whatever it is just needs to leave and never come back!

  • Excellent news and that vine is gorgeous!

  • :sunny:    Something is going right for you,   cheers !

  • good news to hear...

  •

  • Beautiful composition in the photo.

So what position are you in when it hits you.  How in the world could you work outside?  You are determined aren't you?

  • The dizzies seem to hit me the most when I look up or when I lie down or get up from being in bed. Bending over in the front doesn't seem to bother me much. I can't explain it... but I'm glad because that allows me to work in the garden.

  • I could not refrain from commenting. Exceptionally well written!
