Downsizing
The last two summers have finally convinced me that my garden is simply too big for one nearly 70 woman to care for, so I have been in the process of decreasing the size of my garden by half. I have given away tons of daylilies and other perennials to friends, and will be spreading mulch or laying sod in much of the area that has been in flowers. It should be lots easier to maintain next year, but there is still a lot of work to get there from here. Here is a picture of some passion flowers that are blooming now

wow! You're still here! I'm sorry but excited for you as you change your beautiful garden around. Good luck oh and lovely shot of the passion flowers.
I'm sure that whatever you do, your yards will be as lovely as ever
That's GORGEOUS!
I understand completely. It is so hard to keep doing the physical work necessary for beautiful gardens. Whatever you do, your yard will be wonderful.
I just love your flowers. I am sorry to hear you are going to have to downsize, but I can also imagine the work it much take to keep up such a lovely garden. Thank you for always posting such beautiful fpictures. It always makes my day!
You have so many beautiful flowers. It must have been a heartbreaking chore to decide which stay and which go.
Glad to see you around with your photos and your flowers. I think you deserve to cut back whenever you desire.
What a vibrant flower! I makes me feel like dancing and spinning in circles.
I have never seen that color of Passion Flower. How do you control the vines?
(I tried to submit twice, didn't take. Went and logged in so one more try)
