Mom
Today is the 4th anniversary of Mom's death. I had a good time looking at photos of her this morning. She loved to play scrabble. If she was still alive, I'm sure she would be playing on an ipad like Chris and I.
Here is one of my favorite old photos of Mom and me... because it is so typical. Mom was a great cook, and I learned to cook watching her. The last photo is of my mom and dad when they were young. Daddy died almost 20 years before Mom did.

Love it!!!
Four years already?? I remember her posts of poetry and a special plant that she had- she was so special
We never forget the ones we love whether they are still with us or not. That photo of you and your mom is priceless. I wanted to enlarge it to see the details but it didn't work. I remember my mother having that same flour canister. Mom would set her hair with bobby pins in pincurls and then tie it up like your mom's till it dried. Remembering is a nice thing.
Thats a beautiful photo of you and your Mum.
My grandmother passed away last year, eventhough its been a year since she left us, I can never forget her. What I regret was not being there by her side when she passed away. I was expecting my first child and at an early trimester. Sometimes she would appear in my dreams and she would look very happy and healthy to me. What I used to remember of her during my childhood was her passion to make things whether she is weaving a basket or making a patched blanket.
Thank you for sharing these great photos with us!
Your mom died just three years after I retired from Scrabble tournament play. May she rest in peace. The pictures are beautiful.
I stumbled across your mother's Xanga site many years ago and was delighted to get to know her a tiny bit through her blog. I could tell she was a very special person.
