I won't be driving for about a week. I discovered last weekend that my driver's license expired back in March. My insurance agent used to always send me a birthday card with a reminder to renew... but he died since I renewed my license in 2004. I should check it myself, of course, but since I've always gotten a reminder in the past, it just never occurred to me.
Anyway, it is a lot more complicated than it used to be if you let it expire. In Oklahoma, you have to present a certified birth certificate issued by the state where you were born. Since I was born in Illinois, I will have to wait until one can be mailed to me. At least I was able to apply for it online. Otherwise it would be over a month.

I love the enhancement of your morning glory photo - gorgeous!
Yikes, I dread to think what would happen to us if we let our licenses expire, I have no clue where my birth certificate is. At least we have passports and greencards.
I'm glad you won't have to wait a month, otherwise they'd be remaking that great play, Driving Miss Alice!! :giggle:
Out here in the west the DMV lets you know about a mo ahead of time that you have to renew your license. I can't imagin them not doing that for people. But glad it won't take to long. Blessings, Sharon
OMG, you poor baby!
I hope all is well and you make up for it. Can Chris be your chauffeur?
That stinks!
Ouch! I hope you are soon back in the saddle...
I saw morning glories this morning while driving over to visit Dad. They remind me of my childhood. Nice enhancement.
Oh I did that with my CNA license then they wanted $350. and had to take it all over again. But since I could work without it I did not renew it not like a drivers license. Judi
