  • Tiger Babies

The name of this Asiatic Lily that began blooming today is Tiger Babies.
The petals curl back a bit more when they are fully opened, but this was early this morning.

The daylilies below are Black Eyed Stellas, a variety that rival Stella de Ora for length of their bloom season.

  • Spectacular! They look lovely! Very inspiring.

  • Your flowers inspire me.  I shall try to get a "Black Eyed Stella" for my collection.  Thanks.

  • I always enjoy seeing your flowers. You and Chris came to mind when I saw in the local paper that this weekend is the Day Lily show(s) in this area. The Dallas Arboretum will have a show on Sunday, June 7 from 1:30 to 4:30.

  • My lilies have just passed their peak. But no one can see anything but color from the curb.  They just haven't lasted long enough.

  • Beautiful.  Many varieties of Day Lilly are blooming around town here in East Texas.

  • Beautiful!:sunny:

  • @gandywhite - One reason I have so many different varieties is that it extends the season. The early bloomers begin mid May and the late bloomers go to frost. Of course June is still the big month, but it nice to have some daylilies almost the entire growing season.

  • Definetly enjoy your walk through the garden...Beautiful

  • I imagine you early in the garden breathin the scent of those wonderful flowers .
     Love

  • So beautiful Alice!  I am really enjoying your photos this summer.  I have no time for gardening but love and enjoy the fruits of your labor.  So inspiring.  In fact I think I will paint a picture of your flowers soon.  I am working on a portrait of my beloved granddaughter right now.  It is in the works.:bow::bow::smile::sunny:

  • How difficult are those daylillies to grow?
