  • Egret

The picture is the result of my playing around with one of the photos I took a few weeks ago of an egret at Will Rogers Park when Chris and I took her granddaughter there for an outing.

We still don't have any rain from the moisture that has been pushed up from Texas as a result of Tropical Storm Erin. When I look at the animated weather map, it looks like our city is just about on the edge of the rain that tracking up into the state.  In the mean time, our temperatures have moderated thanks for the wonderful clouds, and it is very humid. We do need a rain badly.

  • Someday I'm going to know how to do all these fun things on a computer.....someday.......

  • that's a beautiful egret! just wanted to say thanks for posting those "finds." they give me renewed interest in writing my unfinished novels.

  • That's a great picture! We have rain way up near Wisconsin...lots of rain. This is the greenest August I have ever seen.

  • Nice manipulation of a great photo. :good-job:

The rain started here just as we were set to leave for a party that was supposed to be outside.  So our poor hosts had a gaggle of kids running round their house instead of out in the yard.  I was happy to get the rain though.

  • I didn't know what an egret was until I joined Xanga a year ago.  I have learned so much from the great people here!

  • the colors make it memorable...

I noticed the change in the direction that the clouds were moving in this morning. It was all of a sudden and very surreal.

Lucky you for sleeping through, the kids did as well.  As for me...... early to bed tonight.
