Clematis
Naked Lady
Stella deOra Daylily
Phlox
Pink Knockout Rose and LantanaIt was hot today and we missed another chance for a needed rain. Parts of the city got over 4 inches yesterday and were flooding, but my garden just got a trace. With temperatures in the 90s, it doesn't take more than a week for the garden to dry out, so I'm watering again.
I'm also digging irises. Because I've lost so many to a bacterial rot this year with all of the wet weather early this gardening season, I'm digging all five iris beds to make sure I get all the rot -- then trying to sterilize the soil with a bleach mixture before I plant again. I have three more beds to dig. I'm only going to replant two iris beds this year. I'll plant other flowers (mostly daylilies) in the other beds. Losing so many irises has been disappointing, and I don't want to have to worry about any more than two iris beds in the future.

I love Naked Lady, she is very graceful! Your garden is looking great.
I think I'll be putting our sprinklers on tomorrow morning if we don't get any rain. I have been on caterpillar patrol, seems like they love to munch on my pots of petunias.
The clematis is so pretty...we haven't had rain in two days and it's soooo hot I think my garden is in shock today.
Great pictures as usual:applause:
I have a Naked Lady blooming in my garden, too! I didn't know it by that name, so without thinking, I googled "Naked Lady" to see if that was the same as Amaryllis belladonna...hahahaha, googling "Naked Lady" brought some unexpected results!
I've never seen a red clemantis.
If I want to see flowers I have to come here. Lantana and Rose of Sharon are the only thing blooming in my back yard now. Queen's Wreath vine is trying but I have more green due to our wet July.
h-well:
